Using (D) Data drive

My (C) Drive is nearly full (8% left) but (D) Data drive is empty. What can I move from (C) to (D) and can I make the (D) drive the default drive for data in the future?

Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.

I would like to inform you that usually on HP computers the D drive is recovery partition and you cannot save any data on the D drive.

I recommend you to check and delete the unwanted data files likes pictures, music, and video and it should free up a lot of space on the computer.

Thanks The_Fossette for your response. However on my laptop the (E) drive is designated as the recovery drive and (D) is listed as a data drive (919GB). Having done a bit more research it would appear I can move data accross from the (C) drive but not programmes or software. 

I have therefore move over 36 GB of photos and resest my settings so in future all new photo's are stored straight into the (D) Drive.

How did you set it to send photos to Data Drive D?

Hello DamoG, I came across your post and had the same issue as I save a lot of photos and videos too and wanting to make use of the 1T free space on my DATA D. Wanting to know the steps you made so I can move Photos to my Data D. Thanks a lot 🙂
