HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0023dx
Microsoft Windows 11

I'm using a Dell USB docking station with my HP Spectre x360 convertible. I have two monitors and network connected through the docking station. Most of the time the system works fine, but it frequently loses the network connection or the system can get very slow, to the point of having to restart the system. All the docking station firmware is updated to the latest version. I do not have any of these problems when the laptop is not connected to the docking station and I'm accessing the network via wifi. Any suggestions as to what the cause of the problem may be.

All I know is the Dell dock is not compatible with you HP Spectre. HP has many docks but at this time none of them is compatible with HP Sprectre machines (officially). The list is

Try checking with Dell in case there is a firmware upgrade for their dock. Even though as mentioned it may not show as compatible it's worth having a check.

Thank you for the information. I had thought/hoped that the docks were somewhat generic and work with any laptop. Guess I was wrong. Thanks again!

Thanks, I'll give that a try, even if it is a long shot.
