can I use a different charger for my laptop? The one i have available right now is a different hp charger of 45W and I believe for my laptop is 90W. But can I use the other one for a few days?

Need the specific model of the laptop. You can use an overwatt adapter. Same voltage, same connector. So let's say your laptop is designed for a 65w adapter. You can use a 90 but not a good idea to use a 45w. Underpower can cause damage. If you have to use an underpower, just charge the battery with it and run the laptop from the battery. Do not have the adapter connected when the laptop is running.
