Hi, recently i discovered that i could use a i7 2820QM, on my g6-1347el and was wondering sinc it does use the same socket if it would work, the problem is that is not listed in the manual so i should hope that HP did add it trought the last BIOS update, if not i will still be happy to use the i7 2620m

Hi:
You would have to show me where you found that information that an i7 2820QM will work.
All the supported processors are 35W and the i7 2820QM is a 45W processor, so I doubt it is supported.
Intel Core i72820QM Processor 8M Cache up to 3.40 GHz Product Specifications
None of the BIOS update release notes indicate that support for other processors was added.
