Probook 470 G5

Hello guys,
I bought HP Probook 470 G5 about a week ago. Laptop has a non removable battery. How can I use it only on power? Is it charging when is fully charged.? I do not have a notification that is on power. The only norification is "fully charged".

Don't worry yourself about it. The battery is smart and knows when it needs to top off the charge, and when it is fully charged and the power inlet needs to turn off. If you are using the laptop and a power jack is nearby, run it on AC power; if not use the battery. Try not to let it run down below about 15% as the battery does not like that but other than that use it without concern. You can run it on AC power all the time or charge it at night and then take it out with you and use it during the day on battery until it runs down to 15% then bring it home and charge it. Either usage mode will be fine or anywhere in between. You can top it off i.e. charge it from say 30% up to 75% and there will be no memory effect. Modern lithium ion batteries have come a long way from the old days and a lot of advice that was good 20 years ago still gets tossed around by people who do not really understand how far technology has advanced.

I know it, but my question is:

Does battery charge when it's fully charged or laptop just use power AC and not the battery?

Once it is charged to 100% it stops charging and just runs on AC power. When plugged in it is running on AC power but if the battery needs some charging up some of the electricity is routed into the battery. The smart chip inside the battery shuts the gate and stops allowing power in when it reaches full charge.
