Product: HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B3AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have HP Pavillion 15-ec2121nr laptop. I also 2 external monitors I want to "expand to" as additional monitors. A friend of mine gave me "Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock Gen 2". I tried to connect it to the USB C port on the laptop but it doesn't seem to recognize the docking station (probably because the USB C is data transfer only and no alt-mode?). How can I make this work?

It has 1 hopeless SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate which is NOT a Thunderbolt™ 3 port and it is NOT compatible with any USB-C docks.
