 I like have searched all over HP site, cyberlink and numerous other places with no solution, It worked seperately when first purchased, but after updates and changes and a windows install on new machine no longer recognizes the IR camera seperate from the HP wide screen fhd camera. Tried many softwares too, windows hello works fine just can't work the infra red camera with any software

I understand you are having issues with the HP TrueVision Camera not working on your HP PC. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Could you provide me with the exact model of the PC? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

What is the Operating system installed on the PC?

Did it happen after the software update or Windows update?

Have you checked if the Webcam is detected in the Device manager?

Have you tried to update the Bios?

Could you please respond to this post with the details of the product so that I can provide you with an accurate solution, which should help you resolve this issue.

Omen 15 ce, yes bios updated to F.13, yes both HP widevision fhd and HP IR cameras recognized and reporting working properly in device manager, any software I use youcam etc only recognizes widevision webcam, none recognize the HP IR camera,

p.s windows hello works no problem, the issue is I cannot use IR camera on it's own with any software, drivers all  up to date on both cameras, VR works fine too just the issue with the HP IR camera

p.p.s these are built in to the laptop no external cameras
