Hello! So I am not experiencing trouble per se, but I was hoping someone might explain to me vram.
I purchased a HP Envy x360 15t-bp 100 cto back in September. I hadn't until today began to experiment with it; specifically gaming. Now I understand that it isn't intended for heavy triple A gaming, however, when I went to play Life is Strange 2, it told me 2gb of vram was necessary for the full experience. My previous laptop, a six year old lenovo ideapad, handled LiS2 rather poorly, yet when I went to play it on the HP Envy, it ran the same way - poorly.
I'm not a tech person, not in the slightest, but I've researched that vram cannot be added. My Hp Envy is fresh out of the box and, yet, can't run an indie game such as LiS2 smoothly. Is there anything that I might be able to do to about that (since return policy has been way past expired)? Can the HP Envy x360 game at all?
I appreciate any and all answers. Like I've mentioned, I'm technologically impred. My specs are below:
-512GB PCle NVME M.2 SSD
-Intel Core i7 (1.8 GHz, 4GHz, 8mb cache, 4 cores) + Intel HD Graphics 620
-Adapter information says Total Graphics Memory: 8256, Dedicated Video Memory: 128mb.

Hi,
The problem is that your graphics HD620 is integrated (with CPU), sharing system RAM. It is not a dedicated graphics chip which would make game playing possible. If we look at LiS2 the minimum requirments are a dedicated video card with 2GB of dedicated vRAM with recommended being, dedicated video card with 4GB of RAM (system RAM and video RAM being seperate)

You could try lowering all the video settings in the game and see if it helps.
Hope it helps,
David
