Microsoft Windows 11

This is the new laptop, and from the start, it is overheating when the lid is closed. No wonder because the closed lid blocks the ventilation output that is located on the rear end of the laptop body, where the bottom of the lid is rotating.
I'm using two big external monitors for work and don't need the laptop's screen. And don't have enough space on the work desk, anyway.
So, is this a major engineering error, or is this laptop not designed to run with the lid closed?

NO, machine does NOT have vent(s) at the top only at the bottom and rear (not all machines). Please check the following manual,
