Hello,

I have this laptop for one year and is very slow despite of i5 processor and 8 gb RAM. I have a HDD 1tb with  windows 10.

Opening chrome takes 5 minutes.

Any idea how to improve the speed.

First thing to do is check to be sure there is no hardware problem. Turn it iff, turn it on and immediately tap esc and then F2 at the menu and then component tests. Run the long form tests on the hard drive and memory and please report results back here.

Hi,

Thank you very much for solution. All the test in extensive way done and passed.

Something else to check? Do you think is the HDD? I was thinking to replace with an SSD.

HDD is slow compared to a SSD but should not take 5 minutes to open Chrome. Since hardware passed it has to be software so installing an SSD and reloading Windows has to help.
