Hi,
I've been searching for hours everywhere trying to find information about the TDP watt for the RTX 4060 GPU in the model attached below.
Can somebody please inform be regarding this since I'm planing to buy this machine, but there is no information regarding the GPU voltage/TDP. The Nvidia site says it ranges from 35w-135w, so I want to know how much Watt this variant

Hi TzortzisG.
Thanks for the reply it's been helpful, but I'm just replying to mention that I did find some documentation on the hp site, and it basically generalizes the TDP for specific GPUs as they have mentioned in the post.
75w for the 4060.
Might become useful for anyone else looking to find these things in the future, I hope.

Hi Rockey88L.
HP doesn't publish this information. It can't be found on any documentation or spec sheet. You have to find reviews that test the components to find out stuff like this. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a review of the 15-fa1000 system yet. However, the 2023 16 inch Victus laptops that are fitted with the RTX 40 series have been reviewed plenty, and the tests show that HP has limited the GPUs to 120W.
This is from a review of a 16-inch Victus with the 4050 GPU: "Some digging in Nvidia Control Panel revealed its max TGP caps out at around 100 Watts, which is respectable. Interestingly, the GeForce RTX 4050 here can "borrow" up to 20 Watts of power from the CPU. This is reflected in FurMark, where the maximum board power jumps up to 122.1 Watts under load. However, it can't stay in that state for long and settles in at a lower figure after a while."
Other reviews show that the 4060 and 4070 GPUs use the same 120w TDP: Review 2 Review 3 Review 4
Since these laptops, the Victus 16-r0000 and the 16-s0000, use 230W power adapters to have this performance, I think that for your model (with the 200W adapter) the maximum GPU power limit might also be 120W, but probably lower......

Wow. 75W is pretty low. Probably because the 15-inch chassis has much worse cooling capabilities. Thank you for YOUR feedback. I have to admit I didn't manage to find this document. Please mark YOUR post as solution instead 😉
