Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d0000 (2V8U8AV)

So it is nearly a month, as I am using my Victus, and I am dissapointed with quality of this product. The main problem I have been facing so far - the unbelivebly small battery life, as for 70Wh battery. It last only around 2, 5 - 3 hours, as I use the laptop in battery saving mode, editing a word document and using a browser in a background. The brightness is around 50%, the fans are off or are spinning lightly. I've done research on this, and there is a list of things that I have tried(they did not made thing better):

- uptated all drivers

- disabled all background apps in windows settings

- checked if gpu is not used by some suspicious process

-  choosed a battery saving plan in battery management and a quite plan in omen game hub

- I've updated BIOS to the last version.

- did the driver reset as described here Victus 16 Battery Capacity 65 Wh and Draining so quick - HP Support Community - 8431932

- I checked my battery with HP Support tool and also with HP Hardware Diagnostics (windows software): the software said that real battery capacity is around 62,5Wh and the battery is ok

- I've checked with hp hardware diagnostics tool (called by startup of laptop by pressing f2[also was updated to a newer version manualy]): results are the same as in previous try

- I've calibrated my battery as shown here: HP Notebook PCs - Testing and calibrating the battery (Windows) | HP® Customer Support > with HP Support assistant and manualy with  extensive memory test from HP hardware diagnostics(called by f2)

- and I've tried launching another OS, and battery also had discharged quickly

After all those things done - is it possible to have a normal usage of this notebook without charger plugged in, or I need to get a new battery? And if I need one - is it covered by guarantee?

Looking forward to your support.

I have the same issue. Brand new, out-of-the-box Victus S10, here. Battery is already at 49% after having the thing on and online for a couple of hours doing minor web browsing trying to figure out the battery life issue. Extremely disappointing. I tried to update all of the drivers and the BIOS, but all attempts failed. I can't even get the thing to update. The Virtual Assistant freezes and locks up when attempting to use that, so it's completely useless and does nothing but take up storage space. All of this on top of trying to figure out Windows 11 for the first time. Makes me want to throw it in the trash and go back to stone tablets, chisels and an abacus.

For crying out loud, I started using computers in the late 80's. Then got very proficient using DOS and then Windows 3.1.  Used to do my own memory management, write batch files and com files, built several PCs for myself and others.  I made do when Windows 98 came out and resigned myself to the fact that the complexity had increased beyond the time I was willing to take to keep up. Now, holy cow, man...Windows 11 is one of the best examples of a Rube Goldberg I've ever encountered. It's many, MANY times more complex than it should be.
