Hi, I'am using my computer for about 3 years and i had always this problem but couldn't find a solution on my own. My PC is getting thermal throttle after a 4-5 min playthrough in games. Like for example when i first open RDR2 i can get a decent 60-70 FPS but after a while it drops to 30-40 FPS. I checked with MSI programs and see that my CPU gets down for some reason and all system goes half power. What is this happening for and how can i fix this? Thank you for all your answers before hand.

If normal after this much time. You have to clean laptop fans, air vents (path should be clearly visible), replace thermal paste with good quality one like Arctic MX-6 (use x method, check youtube video in it). As for thermal pads/putty then need replacement as well if dry out or worn.

Make sure to clean air vents from inside as well by opening and unsrewing heatsink itself. Once you applied thermal paste don't try to open it again otherwise it will become ineffective

I'am renewing my thermal paste yearly after first 2 years original worn down. Even in the first days this problem is happening and even if i clean my PC's internals and renew thermal paste in those days the problem happened.

Just do it. Some system can comes with bad thermal paste. Use good quality thermal paste like Arctic MX-6 on GPU/GPU or PTM7950. As for thermal pads/putty, if old one is worn out then replace them with good putty. Don't forgot to clean internet vents that can only be access by opening heatsink itself as well as fans.

I will get cleaned and test again and will see if its happens again. Before i tested this one of my CPU's core goes above 100 Celcius and all of a sudden PC goes throttle.
