I have a victus 16 ,still under warranty with one of those awful realtek wifi cards.

If I swap it out for an intel card,6e, will I void the warranty?

Since this is a peer-to-peer forum and we don't work for or represent HP, we are not authorized to reply on HP's behalf regarding the warranty terms and conditions.

Off the record, I would say it would not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of installing a Wi-Fi adapter.

I can tell you that the chances of breaking one of those very thin and delicate Wi-Fi antenna wires are high, so use extreme caution when removing and replacing the antenna wires.

If you have any doubts regarding the warranty, I suggest you contact HP customer service regarding the warranty situation starting at the link below:

If your notebook ever needs warranty service, you must return the notebook to its original hardware configuration as you bought it, so save the Realtek Wi-Fi card you remove.

Suggested cards to upgrade to:

Wi-Fi 7:

Intel BE200 M.2 2230 Wi-Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4 non-vPro WW WLAN module   HP part # N39883-005

Wi-Fi 6E:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # / SPS # M27269-005

I wouldn't install an Intel CNVI card such as the AX211 since your notebook did not come with one of those from the factory.

Thank you for your input.

I replaced the wifi card in an earlier model victus 16 with an AX210 and the improvement was remarkable.

Cheers and kind regaeds,

Michael
