Product: Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A7AV)

I need to get information from a DVD that I have and I purchased an LG Slim DVD Writer and it doesn't show up as a DVD or CD Player.  

I've called HP Support and they screwed me over by sending me to a Pay site that has nothing to do with HP  NEVER call [content removed] it is a scam (and HP Support gave me that number to call??!!)
