My Victus is only 2.5 years old and I found out today through Best Buy that the motherboard has failed and it would be a very costly repair.  I know it is past the warranty date but after some research it appears that this has been a known problem and I feel like HP should do something to help me.  I have been a loyal HP customer for quite some time and am very disappointed that this happened.

What is the symptom?  if bios went bad it could be reflashed.

If the touch screen is good it may be worthwhile  to replace the motherboard with a used one.  A lot of laptops have the screen crack and are offered for parts on ebay.
