After recent update, received an accellerometer error message saying it could not run on this machine.

Deleted 3D DRIVEGUARD APP

REINSTALLED FROM SP71811

SAME ISSUE

 

FURTHER MESSAGE WHEN LOOKING AT DRIVER IN DEVICE MANAGER 

"Device ACPI\HPQ6007\3&11583659&1 requires further installation."

 

All events completed with completion code 0 or 0x0

It appears to be looking for a registry migration path that might have not been set during the migration.

 

This was the accellerometer driver message ...

 

Driver Management concluded the process to install driver accelerometer.inf_amd64_b653939c5dc2a8e8\accelerometer.inf for Device Instance ID ACPI\HPQ6007\3&11583659&1 with the following status: 0x0.

 

 

Anyone have any ideas???  Registry hack??

Try the version of HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link.

 

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82228.exe

 

When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

Many thanks Dave, the updated version of the program appears to have solved the issue.

 

I wonder why the HP selection program did not provide me with the driver version you suggested. Oh Well, the mysteries of the computer world.
