HP EliteBook 8560p Base Model Notebook PC

Greetings! I am trying to upgrade the Micro PCIE WWAN card in my Elitebook 8560p.

Are there any 4g or 5g Micro PCIE WWAN Cards that the BIOS will allow on this model?

Because it originally supported a 3g card, and 3g is no longer supported by most networks, I would like to have a 4g or 5g card.

However when I tried to install a newer Airprime card, the BIOS automatically disabled it.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi:

Since the BIOS has a BIOS whitelist, the only WLAN and WWAN cards you can install are the ones listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual, and they must have the HP part number on the label or they won't work.

Doesn't appear that either of those cards support 4G.
