Your notebook has support for one M.2  NVMe SSD and one 2.5" drive.

If you want more NVMe storage, you will have to replace the 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a larger storage capacity.

You should be able to go up to 4 TB as long as the drive is single-sided.

What is your PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B3AV)  machine ? It could be one of the following over 140 machines. For example

            HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2121nr

It suports M.2 NVMe SSD + 2.5" HDD/SSD. As you say, your machine has

512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

If you wish to add SSD, you can add 2.5" SATA SSD using 1TB or 2TB of compatible drive such as

            https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-mx500-ssd

But you need more part which is  Hard drive connector/cable part # L72698-001 which is N/A from HP

Please use part # to search online stores including eBay

Regards.

It says only ec2000

It doesn't matter what model 15-ec notebook you have 15-ec0000, 15-ec1000, 15-ec2000...

They all have one M.2 slot and support for one 2.5" drive.

The Crucial SSD report for your notebook's model series indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB in storage capacity.

Your notebook's NVMe slot is PCIe Gen 3.0.

A Gen 4.0 SSD will work but will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds.

This table shows the maximum transfer speeds each PCIe slot generation can provide:

I currently have samsung mzvl2512hcjq 00bh1 i think its m.2 SSD. then I can add a 512 gb of sata SSD. Am I right?

HP Recommended

Yes, if you want to add a 2.5" SATA SSD, that would be fine.

There is a plastic 'dummy' HDD you have to remove before installing the 2.5" SSD.

HP Recommended

is there a dummy case that i saw in my laptop while opening. Also Is the cable part needed.

HP Recommended

No, the HDD cable should be there 'connected' to the plastic dummy drive.
