Hi guys,
So I am using a HP NOTEBOOK for past couple of years.
It has got a Pentium N3710 Processor ( Clogged at 1.6 GHz ) and uses 4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 RAM.
There is an Additional slot available to upgrade my RAM but My Ram is clogged at 800 MHz though I need to add another RAM clogged at 1600 MHz.
Would this create an issue or my new RAM would come down to 800 Mhz?
Also can I upgrade the HDD ( I TB ) to an SSD?
* My mother board is HP 81F1 *

Hello
to find out more you would need the pc model
please give the product number P / N

Modules of the same frequency must be installed
For the SSD, this should not be a big problem, a classic "sata" SSD should work

Your laptop uses DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM. Its called 1600 mhz because it runs at "double data rate" meaning it "fetches" data from the processor twice each cycle. So in reality it is running at 800 cycles per second. But the memory is called 1600. Hope that makes sense. DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM which is low voltage 1.35 volt will work fine on your laptop. Yes, you can use a 2.5 inch SATA SSD in place of the hard drive. Your model has no slot for a "gumstick" type M.2 SSD so you must use the kind of SSD which is the same general shape and configuration as a hard drive and mount it in place of the hard drive.
Hope that's clear enough. Please accept as solution if it answers your questions otherwise post back with more questions.

So can I upgrade the RAM of my loptop.
I saw a similar 4 gigs DDR3 ram on amazon .
Is there any expansion slot available on my motherboard because when I ran CPU-Z, ut shows another expansion slot for my laptop vut When I took it to the HP Service Center they denied its existence.

Most models with Pentium and Celeron processor only have a single slot. The Manual:
says your model with Pentium N has 2 slots but I am just a bit skeptical. Even on models that have only one slot CPU-Z and similar programs will say there are 2 slots. The circuitry for two slots is embedded in the motherboard but HP just does not have the factory install a second slot and module clips on some models. So open it and observe before you make any investment.

So sir, what do you recommend?
SCENARIO 1 :-
Should I make an Investment and get a SSD installed instead of a Hard drive? Would it help me get my laptop a tad bit faster?
SCENARIO 2:-
Or should I instead go and get a new 8 GB Ram and also get a new SSD Installed.
SCENARIO 3:-
Or should I just go for a single channel RAM upgrade?
SCENARIO 4:-
Or Should I get my processor Over-cloked and also get something done between Scenario 1,2,3?
Also, what precautions should I take if I am likely to Overcloke my CPU
And do you recommend any of these upgrade or Instead I should just get a new machine( I would like to use this machine as much as possible before buying a new one ).
Thank you

8 gigs and an SSD is optimal. However, the processor cannot be upgraded and forget about overclocking. So its up to you if you want to spend the money for parts or buy a new laptop. There is only so much that laptop can be improved.
