Want to know how to find the serial number for my laptop charger

Hi all, I have a problem and need to identify my laptop charger serial number I need to pick it up from somewhere and people won’t hand it over until I can provide proof it’s mine, hope someone can help. ASAP

So the serial numbers and model and year built on  the computer have no correspondence to the charger. Is the charger the same for all different HP models?

Surly when HP match a computer with a charger there is some recording of numbers, for tracking purposes, if it’s faulty batch, or there catching fire or exploding or someone needs to identify there from a couple of other ones?

Normally HP uses part # for chargers and one part # can be used for many models/products and may cross series too (for example same charger part # for 17" machines and 15" machines) .

I worked very close to our PC section which software-build and ship machines to many places around Australia. I did not see what is the point to record chargers and notebooks relationship.
