I have a HP 14-dk0011na laptop and require a replacement battery. Details on underside of laptop say it is fitted with a HSTNN-UB7J battery. My laptop is not listed among those compatible with this type of battery on three different suppliers' websites.

Hi:

According to chapter 3, page 18 of the service manual your notebook uses this battery part number and description.

HP Notebook - 14-dk0011na - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support

3-cell, 41 Whr, 3.6 Ahr Li-ion    HP part # L11119-855

The parts list for your PC indicates which one of the two batteries your notebook came with.

HP PartSurfer

PR;SDI496080D,3.615Ah

The battery you need is on backorder from HP...67.49 pounds.

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

The battery removal and replacement procedure can be found in chapter 5 of the service manual.

If you are unable to obtain a battery from HP, the only suggestion I can offer would be to do a search on Amazon or eBay by the HP battery part number and see if you can find a compatible aftermarket battery that references that part number.
