Hi, I wish to upgrade my RAM from 4 to 8 which I am told is the max I can have in this trusty old dv6 3030tx laptop.
I see in old posts that there has to be a specific model for it due to the mobo.
DDR3-1066 4G/256x8
I am a bit confused here and as they are rare and old, don't want to get the wrong one.
A link to Amazon or ? would be great thanks.
Help please?

Hi:
I take it that your notebook has a 4 GB DDR3-1066 MHz memory chip currently installed?
If so, you need one that is no faster than DDR3-1333, Dual Rank (2Rx8), 1.5V with 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.
Everything I see is so expensive.
I can only find where you can buy two DDR3-1066 MHz chips
You can buy one DDR3-1333 MHz chip, but it is still expensive.
You might be better off getting the 2 x 4 GB PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) chips.
