Product: Pavilion g4-1315dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Pavilion g4-1315dx. I'm looing for a CPU (current A6-3420M) and GPU (current Radeon HD 6520G) compatible upgrade.

What are my options?

Limited, but not zero. Here is the Manual:

 

Manual

 

See page 2. You could upgrade to an A8-3520M and because with this type of processor, the video chip is inside the processor (actually a little more complex than that but that is the idea) by upgrading the processor you would also get HD 6620M graphics. 

 

$34 for the processor:

 

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-A8-3520M-1-6GHz-Quad-Core-AM3520DDX43GX-Laptop-Processor-D2-X3-c12-/1523...

 

I don't know. This will definitely be a "tick" of an upgrade and likely barely noticeable but would be an improvement and it would be cheap. No other options, sorry.
