Hi I want to upgrade my 640 G1 laptop computer, Core i7 2.8Ghz.  What are my options? 

 

I also need the product list for Ram and  Hard Drives.

Hi,

On page 98 of service manual you can see the compatible CPUs for the model

Since you already have an i7, probably the only upgrade which would greatly improve everyday performance would be to install an SSD (if there is not already one in the machine)

You could replace the Hard Drive with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD and reinstall the OS
