HP Envy Notebook 13-d050sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
I am looking to upgrade the 128GB M.2 SSD of my laptop to a 1TB SSD.
I wanted to know which make and brand SSD are supported by this laptop prior to purchase.
I am unable to find this information elsewhere.

The series has following options (manual page 1).

Support for M2 Serial ATA storage
Support for the following solid-state drive configurations:

● 512-MB, M2, SATA-3, supporting triple level cell (TLC)

● 256-MB, M2, SATA-3, supporting TLC

● 128-MB, M2, SATA-3, supporting TLC

● 128-MB, M2.2280, SATA-3

The point is it supports M.2 SATA therefore you can use 1TB Crucial MX500 series or Samsung 850 EVO series of M.2 SSD.

Regards.

Thank you for your reply. Would the Samsung 860 Evo also work or is it just the 850 Evo series that works on this particular motherboard?

Many thanks

Is the Samsung EVO 860 also compatible for this model of Envy Notebook?
