Chapter 5 does have a removal and replacement procedure for the M.2 NVMe SSD, so it is doable.
HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in the model series, but that is normally just what they offered not the maximum capacity supported.
However, no one can tell you exactly how large a capacity SSD you can install beyond what HP has listed in the service manual because there is no software that I know of that is available to provide that information.
Theoretically, the sky's the limit as long as you install a single-sided SSD.
The Crucial SSD report for your notebook indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB in storage capacity.
