Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an old HP Envy I've been upgrading so that a friend who only has Mac could play PC games. SSD and RAM made a big difference to overall performance, but it's at 100% CPU when trying to play anything. Since the CPU apparently is soldered on, upgrading the CPU means upgrading the whole motherboard.

My difficulty is in trying to determine what exactly would be compatible / physically fit inside the case. Could I use a replacement part from a newer model of the HP Envy? I found this doc which on page 54 lists compatible system boards--but this doc is for the HP Envy 15-cn models, not the HP Envy 15-u models. I haven't been able to find one for my model.

Does anyone know where I could find the manual, or otherwise access this information? Any help appreciated.

It is an old machine, you can use the following manual
