I have HP's dy0008au model and I just wanted to know about the maximum supported memory by this laptop as many people states that this laptop supports a total of 16GB (8 in each slot) but as suggested by standard information which I got from command prompt is that the maximum supported memory is 64GB (command- wmic memphysical get maxcapacity, memorydevices).
The above command outputs : MaxCapacity: 67108864 MemoryDevices: 2
Thank you!

Hi:
The service manual indicates 2 x 8 GB.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC
The crucial memory report indicates you can install 2 x 16 GB of memory.
Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp 15-db series | HP 15q-dy0008au | Crucial IN
And since the report you ran indicates your notebook can support 2 x 32 GB of memory, that would probably work, but I don't know that 64 GB is necessary to install yet. Maybe in a few years.
2 x 32 GB of memory would cost a lot of money. 2 x 16 GB is expensive enough.
