Victus 16-e0075ax

I bought a new Victus notebook of model (16-e0075ax) from Amazon India. I have 2 questions:

  1. My laptop was purchased on 08-Jan-2022. The Warranty details shows that the warranty started on September-2021 instead of Jan-2022. I have raised warranty dispute. I would like to how much it took to get the details corrected from HP End. Fellow community members, I would like your inputs here. Based on the time only, I have to take further actions.
  2. Even though the laptop looks okay and like new product, I would like to know how to differentiate between used / tampered laptops from new laptops. Would there be any stickers "Warranty Void if removed" or Are there any applications or indicators or stickers which helps me to determine if the laptop I received is already used or new? Since, there is dispute in warranty, I have this question.

To those who have warranty disputes, following steps helped me:

Location: India

 

1. Navigate to the Link - https://support.hp.com/in-en 

2. Sign in with your HP Account.

3. Click on the option "Contact an HP Agent for Support"

4. If your product is present, select the product or else, enter the details to find the product.

5. You will end up in the page with multiple options. Make sure you have selected your country correctly. 

6. I selected "Chat with Expert". It would ask for Product ID, Email, Phone number etc. It would open WhatsApp support only.

7. In the whatsapp support, I started with "Hi" and followed the process - Few automated questions and then, we will get connected to live agents.

 

For some reason, the link https://support.hp.com/in-en/checkwarranty mentioned in the document https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_2534210-1364541-16  didn't have any option to dispute the warranty. Hence, Customer care was the only way for me raise the dispute.

 

You might need Laptop Invoice with Proof of Purchase, Warranty P-Slip (Amazon India gives Warranty P-Slips as well). We can download invoice and Warranty P-Slip from the Amazon's "Your orders" Page. 

 

I provided the details on 09-Jan-2022 (Sunday) around 03:00 PM IST and my warranty dispute has been solved by 10-01-2022 02:30 PM IST (~23 hours). 

 

WhatsApp support would stop responding if you ping multiple times, though. For me, I raised Warranty Dispute first time and for second time, I had few questions about laptop. Third time, they didn't even connect though. So, that's the only negative part here. Turns out their systems were in maintenance and hence no replies. They reached back after 4 hours.

The question 1 got answered. Warranty got updated within 24 hours - That's awesome. Not sure, whether posting here expedited the process. 😄 

I still have question 2, though.
