Was the laptop purchased new or used?

Which laptop model?

Hi VikramTheGreat,

I disputed the warranty with HP two days ago and sent them a copy of my receipt.  I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Thanks!

Hi Jim,

It's a new laptop, but was used by the store as the display model.  That may be the issue.  It's an HP Envy.  I filed a dispute on the warranty and I'm waiting to hear back.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hik @Jeff517,

Thank you so much for your patience. Once a warranty dispute is raised, it enters a thorough review process on our backend. This typically takes 7 to 10 business days, not including holidays, as our team carefully evaluates each case.

We truly understand that waiting can feel uncertain, but rest assured — our support team is closely monitoring the progress and will keep you informed via email every step of the way. We appreciate your understanding and ask you to please allow a little more time as the process unfolds.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
