Purchased computer on April 4, 2020. Just received it 4/14/2020. HP Support app says warranty expired on 4/4/2019, with a start date of 3/1/2018. I did not purchased any extended care packages. But, my understanding is the manufacturer warranty should be good for a year from the date of purchase. Just looked up my product serial number online and this was confirmed. How do we fix the "HP Warranty Expired" incorrect warning in the HP Support app? Thanks.

Hello @compustew7,
If you believe that your warranty start date or warranty coverage duration is incorrect, please use the instructions here to dispute your warranty. You will need your proof of purchase.
If you are still having issues with the warranty or if you are experiencing issues disputing the warranty, I will ask someone to escalate your concern.
Kind regards,
Eddy

Thanks for the reply.
I did run my serial number through the warranty check portal online, and it confirms my actual warranty. I just want this reflected in the HP Support app on my computer. Whenever I open it up, there's always a warning alert within the warranty feature, which incorrectly lists the aforementioned 2018 and 2019 dates (long before I purchased the computer.) Not sure where it is pulling these dates from.
How can this be resolved?

Ah ok.
I've had issues with the HP Support Assistant and its warranty start date as well. I don't believe it's a very reliable source, to be honest. If you haven't already done so, make sure to press the refresh button on HP Support Assistant.
Try this:
- If you're signed into HP Support Assistant, sign out, and sign back in
- Or, uninstall HP Support Assistant, reboot and reinstall HP Support Assistant.
Otherwise, I'm not quite sure of anything else besides having to wait for it to correctly update.
