Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

To summarise my problem, I spilled water onto my laptop and it caused an error which states a boot device is not found. I have tried both windows os installation from a flash drive and USB cloud recovery tool in an attempt to fix my laptop. However, these solutions have not worked. I am starting to believe this is a hardware issue. Should I bring my laptop to a repair shop or is there a solution I have not tried. Thank you, anything helps.

Turn the laptop OFF -- and do NOT turn it back ON!!

Spilling liquid on a laptop is the second-most damaging thing you can do to it (first is dropping it on a hard floor).

Here are some tips on dealing with liquid damage: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/you-just-spilled-water-or-coffee-on-your-laptop-heres-what-you-should-d...

However ... it's most likely that SOME damage was done, regardless of how quickly you turned off the laptop and what you did afterward. The key problems are only the surface and almost certainly, more damage was done than that.

The ONLY way to know for sure is to take or send it to an HP Service Center and pay a LOT of money for them to run full diagnostics on it, and after that, to disassemble it to repair or replace any damaged components.

And, if the motherboard is damaged, the cost of repair can easily exceed the cost of replacing the laptop -- because (as far as I know) liquid spill damage is NOT covered under the warranty.

Thank you for your input. How much would running the full diagnostics check on my laptop usually cost? I also want to know the cost of then repairing the damaged components. Thank you.

We have no way of knowing -- as the first depends on what the HP center charges to do that, and the second depends on what they find that needs repairing.

Since you live outside the U.S., here is a link to HP Service Centers, by Country/Region: https://support.hp.com/in-en/service-center

If that link does not provide you sufficient information, then use the main HP link:

I've found those links to be unreliable if you're using Win10 and the new Edge Browser; so if you are, you need to use something else, like FireFox.

Good Luck
