I spilled water on my keyboard and now the keyboard will not react to the keys. I restarted the computer several times in the same issue, could not sign in because the keys will not register, now the laptop will not power up even with the battery removed and this type of laptop the battery is built in. I just need to know do I need to replace the motherboard, battery or what is it that's causing this issue? The laptop is 4 months old with touchscreen.

@yashua_40 If your device is covered by the accidental damage protection, there would be no charges to repair the damaged components affected by the liquid spill, that said, if you don't have an extended warranty as such, I suggest you run a hardware test using the below steps to identify all failed components, in case it turns on after a hard reset:
Let's perform a power reset as per HP standards:
- Ensure your laptop is OFF.
- Unplug all the external devices (If any).
- Disconnect the power charger from the computer, and remove the battery.
- Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.
- Connect the power supply (power adapter).
- Press the power button to turn on your laptop.
- Then put your battery back.

If the device turns on, try the below steps:
Install the latest version of the HP Hardware diagnostics (UEFI) on your device using this link: Click here for details
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
- Click Extensive Test.
- Click Run once, or Loop until error.
- While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component display on the screen.
If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) for when you respond back to us.
