Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My kid poured a bottle of water on my laptop, it was still on and working after the fact. Now the screen is black, I can hear the fan running. Seems like it's all dried up... The caps lock is blinking 3 times slow and 2 times fast. I reseated the memory in the laptop, took out the battery and everything, it's still blinking and I don't know what to do.

Unfortunately it seems the motherboard has been affected. Water damage sometimes takes a while to manifest itself so all seems well then things start failing. What is the model or product number of the laptop?

Model 15db0042nr

We can probably find you a motherboard but most people just buy a new laptop when they find out the cost of replacement.

I'm open to anything honestly... I financed the laptop and I've only made my first payment on it. It's brand new.

Wow that is rough. Are you able to do the repairs?

HP Recommended

I can try... Is it worth it to send it to HP to see what's exactly wrong with it and see what needs to be replaced? Or should I try a different solution?

You can call HP and they will do out of warranty work but it is very expensive. Better to take it to a local repair shop.
