First off, I am not tech savvy so this question may be silly. I got a message that my battery was weak, I didn't even know I had a battery. Where is it located? Is it something I can replace on my own or do I need tech support. Are they talking about my cable power cord or something else? I ran a battery test and it said battery was weak due to normal aging. Do I actually have a battery or what? My computer runs a little slower than normal and I am not sure if it is because of the weak battery. Any help with this issue would be very helpful. Thanks.

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Yes, your laptop has a battery! That is how it is able to run while disconnected from the charging cable.
The maintenance guide for your laptop can be found here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c08119882.pdf
On page 38 you'll find the instructions for battery removal and replacement. The battery model number (L11119-855) is also displayed. This can be searched for online (aka, amazon.com). Cost runs from around $35US to $60 US.
It will be up to you to decide if you have the skills, tools, and desire to perform this repair. Be advised! You will be performing "surgery" on a valuable device. Any mistakes could co$t more money and time. I would consider finding a local computer repair store for a quote.
