Hi @helpwithmypc99, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If HP support team was able to fix it remotely in just a few minutes, they likely adjusted a setting, re-enabled a driver, or restarted a related service. Try these steps to fix your HP Notebook 17t-by200 webcam issue:

Quick Fixes:

Check If the Webcam is Disabled:

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Imaging devices or Cameras.
  • If you see your webcam listed, right-click it and select Enable (if available).
  • If it’s already enabled, right-click and choose Disable, then enable it again.

Check for Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Make sure "Allow apps to access your camera" is ON.
  • Scroll down and ensure that the app you're trying to use has permission.

Update or Reinstall the Webcam Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click your webcam and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
  • If the update doesn’t help, right-click again and select Uninstall device, then restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Check HP Camera App:

  • Open the HP Camera app or Windows Camera app (Win + S > search for "Camera").
  • If there’s an error, note the message and let me know.

Perform a Power Reset:

  • Turn off your laptop.
  • Disconnect all peripherals and power.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect power and boot up.

Check Windows Update & HP Software Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
  • Also, open HP Support Assistant and check for any pending updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
