I saw a similar Post to this but it was archived. Whenever I open YouCam I get a warning: no webcam detected. I upgraded my win8 to win10. And I couldn't find my webcam listed anywhere in device manager. In the controllers although I found Cyber link Webcam virtual driver. I am not sure this is what my webcam drivers really are. Even then I tried to update it, it says the best drivers are installed. I am not sure if it is cheering me up or pushing me down disappointment lane. Please help!

Hi @skash91 ,
Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Barachiel is at your service.
I understand you are in need of support,
I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:
I have a few steps that should help resolve this concern.
Here's a related post that seems to have helped others: Click here
(Though the header may be different, the solution should work for your concern as well).
For troubleshooting the webcam issues:
You can open webcam software, such as YouCam, Skype, or Live Messenger, but the video does not display in the main viewing window. Use the following steps, in the order, they are presented, until the webcam video displays in your webcam software:
Step 1: Make sure the webcam is the selected video/capture device for your webcam software
Your webcam must be selected as the video capture device in your webcam software. If the computer has multiple video input sources, your webcam software might be connected to something other than your webcam.
To select the webcam as your video source, open your webcam software and look for the video camera, video source, or video caption in the software's properties or preferences. Here are some common examples of selecting the webcam as the video source:
NOTE:
The name of your webcam might display as USB Video Device, HP Webcam, USB 2.0 Camera, HP Pavilion Webcam, or similar. If you do not know the name, select a name to see if video displays. If not, try selecting other video device names until you see the video from your webcam display in the window.

Please reply with the details for further assistance.
Eager to help!

I have done this part of my homework. Done and tried everything on the link you sent. I can't see any webcam appearing in the device manager. All I can find is cyberlink webcam virtual driver but to no avail. Even when I am opening YouCam the warning : no webcam detected. There is no clue if it even recognises my webcam. When I open my camera app, it shows "We can't find your camera". Even 'Devices' doesnt mention it.
