HP ENVY Laptop PC 13-ba1000 (1F4D5AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

Hello all,

As the title says, my webcam stopped working out of the blue. I have reqached the conclusion that something happened during a windows update that has led the webcam to malfunction.

The hardware and connection is fine as I have checked it in HP UEFI Diagnostics.

I have done everything previously suggested. Driver updated, Device reinstalled, New windows, BIOS update; nothing has worked.

But I have found one thing that seems to have worked for some and that is flashing the camera firmware. However, I have been unable to find any information or software relating to my hardware to do so. If anyone can guide me in light of my device model. It is HP Envy 13-ba1000.

Any help would be amazing. I have been going crazy as I have just bought this laptop and I have extensive use of the webcam.

Thankyou.

I have searched for a specific driver extensively, however no luck. I have also tried many different drivers available online, however none was specifically for my device ID USB\VID_0408&PID_5429&MI_00. It always defaults back to this driver from 2006.
