Hello everybody, I bought my convertible laptop back late November and in the past couple of days I've been noticing a troubling noise. Its like a clicking sound coming from the right-bottomcorner of the case ( simply put, on right of the touchpad), even though one time was coming from the left bottom corner. This happens sporadically when using the speakers in any way (watching a movie or listening to music), but keeps going for a while after stopping whichever media I'm playing at the moment. It does not appear to happen when using headphones and it's a physical (hardware) sound, not coming from the speakers in any way.
I'm thankful for whichever help or advice you could give me, I'm pretty worried as I'm currently writing my master dissertation with this laptop!

Hi,
I would still think a problem with the speakers or a driver problem. If you look on pages 33 and 54 of the service manual we see that only the battery and speakers would be in that position.

You could try completely updating the notebook and see if the problem persists. Through windows update and HP support assistant.
If the problem persists and the PC is under warranty you could get in contact with HP support directly
You can identify your notebook in the link below and get contact options

The notebook has a Pcie M2 drive so I would not worry about your data, even though backing up data on the cloud for example is a good idea no matter what PC you have.
Hope it helps,
David
