Hello,
My Zbook studio G4 started to make weird noise. This model is know for its noisy colling system, however so far it was all about clean "wind" sound.
From 14 days ago, you can also hear some high pitch sound too - if you remember how CD roms used to sound while loading a disc. Or maybe, old HDDs used to do sound like this.
The laptop seems to be working perfectly, but it just feels weird while hering that noise. Do you have any experience with this? What is its cause?
Thanks!

You have no optical drive so it can't be that. It does not use a mechanical hard drive so it can't be that. The only moving parts inside are the fans. You can stick a paperclip into the fan grille to hold the blades from spinning and if that stops the noise you have found it. We also occasionally hear of something called "coil whine" which comes from the CPU and is very annoying and nearly impossible to fix other than with a new motherboard.
