Hi. I am having a difficult time on HP online trying to find the CMOS battery that I need to order for my notebook. I type in the information, but the system states that it can't find my notebook or part. The product number of my notebook is 3LM40AV. Can someone guide me on how I can get to the webpage so that I may order this battery?
Thank you.

3LM40AV is an invalid model/product

But machines of the series DO NOT have RTC (or CMOS) battery. Many new machines now do not have CMOS battery.
Regards.

Hi. I just contacted the HP service parts, and the rep said that it sound like a RTC battery problem. He told me that I would have to have a technician install it. I will look more into what you said in your response. So, what could be causing the time and date to just suddenly go back and the screen to state "CMOS will be reset?"
(By the way, I accidentally listed an item number instead of the product number, which is why you couldn't find any parts for my notebook. Sorry about that.)
