I'm just hoping to get some part numbers possibly. It's amazing how little info there is out there.

Here's the Service manual:
It has space for a concurrent 2.5 inch drive and an M.2 SATA 2280 disk. See p. 2
M.2 space right above HDD
Also see p. 35 for a view of where the hard drive goes.
It can also take a second 2.5 inch hard drive/SSD as shown here:

The Manual says you have to remove the system board to install the M.2 but I do not think that is right. Still one has to pay attention to it. See p. 51 of the Manual.
The Manual specifies up to a 512 gig SATA-III M.2 disk i.e. any one of these:
512 GB mSATA solid-state drive 814224-001
512 GB M2 SATA-3 TLC 814224-001
512 GB M2 SATA-3 TLC Value 820547-001
These are crazy expensive from HP...over $400.
You can use this:
Less than half the price.
