I am looking at getting an SSD in addition to my OEM HDD.
Can someone tell me what ports these re, and if i can add an ssd?
One of the slots says it is JSSD1, whitch looks like a m.2 port, but i am not sure.
Also, can i even add an ssd to this model?
And, can i add a normal ssd next to the OEM HDD in the space next to it?
Here are the pictures:

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums @whiz_kid,
I understand you are looking to add an SSD to your computer. Happy to help.
Kudos to you for opening the computer and providing the screenshot.
Have you checked the service manual of your computer?
Based on the product number shared, click here for the service manual.
Refer to page number 42, the computer has an M.2 connector using which you can install an additional SSD (M.2)

I bought an Intel 128gb gen 6 m.2 ssd to install, but as soon as i try to power on my laptop, it turns off again.
Could this be a faulty ssd, seeing as i cannot even get to the BIOS? Or does my laptop not support this type of m.2 ssd? Surely, if my laptop didn't support it, it would at least boot to the BIOS?

Thanks for the reply, please disconnect the HDD on the computer and install only the SSD and check if it gets detected.
Reset BIOS to defaults, enable Legacy boot in BIOS under the security tab, save the settings and exit BIOS and check.
If you have access to any other computer, please try the SSD on that computer and check if it gets detected.
Let me know how it goes.
