HP Pavilion x360 15 Convertible PC 15-er1000 IDS Base Model

Hello all,

I just bought this laptop and the description said the speed of the processor was up to 4.7 in the description but on the device manager it says 1.7 GHz.  Here is the item: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CTVVW1GR/

What is the speed of my Intel processor and why is there a discrepancy between 4.7 and 1.7 in the device manager?

Intel has it as a 4.7.

TIA

1.7 is the base speed and the CPU can zoom up higher when it thinks it needs to

Get CPU-z to see exactly what is happening

My turbo speed is 4500 mhz.  That is the '45" multiplier and even with liquid cooling my system would overheat at that speed.  My idle multiplier is 7 but I have never seen my system run that slow.  Currently I have 5 CPU intensive apps searching for COVID cures and the CPU occasionally gets up to 3800 mhz.
