I like this laptop but it has been getting slower as time goes on.
I have taken the Windows Performance Test and I admit it is dismal. But what are the main reasons why it is slow from this test? Is it cpu or memory etc?
I know I need to upgrade but still wat to use this so want it at its best.
I have cleared most startup programs and checked the task manager for excess usage such as the Defender antimalware and power options.
Would appreciate some ideas

Max out the memory and replace the HDD with an SSD.
Since this is an older system the memory upgrade and recommended SSD might be best found by googleing
