I have an HP Notebook 15-ay514TX with a motherboard HP 81EC (U3E1). I need the specifications of this motherboard for upgrade like how much RAM it can support. I currently have 4 GB of DDR4 RAM.

We don't think in terms of the specifications of the motherboard because laptops each have a unique motherboard so here are the specs of the laptop:

Here is the Service Manual:

From the title page it doesn't seem to cover your model but it is the one HP has posted for your model number. 

 

Two non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slots (Intel Core processors) DDR4-2133 dual channel support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4-2133) Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following conƭgurations ● 16384-MB total system memory (8192×2)

 

Anything else you may want to know is in the Manual or it has not been made public by HP.
