I selected a random Chromebook 11 G1 product number from the HP PartSurfer website.
The power adapter part number and description is:
710412-001 | Smart AC power adapter (65 watt) - 4.5mm barrel connector, non-power factor correcting (NPFC) - Requires 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector |
If you need a power adapter, I recommend you do a search by the HP power adapter part number on eBay and buy a genuine HP used but tested and working power adapter.
Those normally come with the power cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter.

Hi. Thanks for your time. However, the answer is incorrect. I know that because the port isn't round. After receiving input from Redditors, I now think the connector is, or is closer to, a micro USB -- and indeed, that's what it looks like. My request for information was due to the fact that a cable I have that looks like a micro USB, doesn't fit into the port, ... and due to my having found online a variety of chargers with different connectors, all supposed to be for the HP Chromebook 11 G1.
Thanks for the link to PartSurfer. That site says that my Chromebook is 11 SMB0. The main HP website says it's an 11 G1. I don't know if there's a difference.
Nevertheless, I'm taking it to Best Buy today to see if they can help identify the port.

You're very welcome.
It's probably something like this based on what you have described:
New Slim 65w USB C Fast Charging Laptop Charger For HP Chromebook x360 11 G1 EE | eBay

(I'm having problems with this HP interface vs. messages that are forwarded to my email. On this HP website, I can't see the last message that I got in email. But I digress....) I finally noticed that you mentioned "product number." I now see the answer is:
745154-001 | AC adapter (15.75W) - For use with Chromebook 11-SMB, G2 and 11-2xxx models (United States) |
(My apologies for not having gotten that far previously. )
Now that I have the definitive answer, I can't find something on an HP website that tells me what the connector is. I've seen the adapter listed for sale elsewhere, but even those ads don't say what the connector is.
If I find the answer, I'll be back and say so. But if you have a link with the answer before I find it, please do share.

I found that part number you referenced on eBay.
Quite an unusual looking device....
745154-001 Hp AC Adapter 11 G1 CHROMEBOOK | eBay
The generic one I posted would probably also work.
The x360 is one where you can fully open the screen, so it touches the back of the notebook.

I saw that too. (I once had an adapter where you picked the output volts with the switch.) But the eBay ad doesn't say what the connector is. And I don't totally trust a non-HP website. I'm going to be AFK, getting ready for the trip to Best Buy. I'll check in before I leave, just in case you write again.

😊 Thanks so much for all your time. I'm leaving now.
(BTW: In the 80s, I was totally conversant with the micro world, and provided the technical OK for millions of dollars of hardware each year. But give me an old Chromebook in 2025, and I'm here asking for help. Of course, in the 80s, there were no "old" micros, and no Internet support. This is a totally different world. I totally appreciate people like you who take the time to help out.)
