I am looking to store my photos and some music in a different spot on my laptop. The C drive is a little over half way full and I don't want to fill it up too much that my computer will start to run slow. Is it possible to store photos/music safely in the DATA (D:) drive, or should I not touch it? I put a few files in there already to see if it would let me do that and it did. I haven't noticed any issues, but then again, I haven't really played with it much since doing it. I have attached two photos to show the storage and drives available/partitions... whatever that means lol. Will my files and photos be safe in there or should I bite the bullet and fill up the C drive?

Thanks in advance.Untitled (2).pngUntitled.png

You should have no problem with using D:DATA as storage.

You can setup 😧 drive as "Default" Storage

Disk1: Sould be a M.2 SSD for Boot.

Disk0: Should be a 1TB HDD drive for storage.

Yes you can use 😧 drive safely but NOT the Recovery E: drive.

Do not touch E: drive.

Hi

ERRRrrrr

You should have made a Recovery Media, 16 GB USB stick, from the combination of...

Windows RE Tools and Recovery E:

as if either fails you may lose the F11 option to recover.
