Hej

I have been enjoying using my laptop for a year now and the support in Sweden is quite good.


Yesterday around midnight my laptop informed me that it had an imminent failure in my hard drive and I needed to replace it. Unfortunately, my global warranty expires 23 minutes before I can make the claim. I bought my laptop from Sweden, then I moved to Thailand to work. The customer service here said if I want to change my part under warranty, I have to send my laptop to Sweden. Otherwise, pay for the part and service. Given the distance, I am not sure it would be worth sending my laptop back and forth between countries.

 

The thing is my laptop is still working fine apparently. I want to have someone check my laptop for the problem and have some fixes (under warranty) in Thailand,  so I don't have to go through the problem. But they didn't offer any help further than replace the part, which I guess is because the problem is not in warranty.  Hence the question, under the warranty what help can I get in Thailand?

 

Techniquely, do I need the part to be completely failed before I can get the help that is convenient to me (-- and environment friendly)?

Unfortunately, there are no further actions we can take through this channel. I recommend reaching out to our phone support for further assistance.

They can help you with the unit repair or part replacement.

 

I request you talk to HP Phone Support and they will help you to sort it out as it requires  or repair.

 

1. Click on this link -  https://support.hp.com/us-en

2. Select the country.

3. Enter the serial number of your device.

4. Select the country from the drop-down.

5. Click on "Show Options".

6. Fill out the web form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

 

I have sent a private message to you with the phone number. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name.
